Computer shuts down and restarts randomly when playing

Hello everyone.

I know this sounds like it has been asked many times and after reading through a lot of other threads I feel like I can't find a good answer.

So my problem is that my computer shuts down and restarts after 1 second when I am playing on some occasions. And I couldn't find a pattern to it since there are days where I can game for hours and nothing goes wrong, or there are days when it did that twice in 10 minutes right after I got home and I started playing.

My specs are:
CPU: 4790k @ 4.7 GHz
RAM: 8 GB @ 2133 MHz on XMP profile
MB: MSI Z97 Gaming 7
GPUs: 2xEVGA GTX 780ti SC
PSU: CoolerMaster V850
1 SSD, 1 HDD and 3 fans.

So I've build this computer component by component over the course of a few months and the PSU is like 6 months old.
Now you might be saying it's the PSU but I've ran Prime95 + Furmark at the same time for 15 minutes to prove myself that it can handle the load and it ran without any problems.

Things I've tried so far were different PSU cable, different plug in the house, setting my BIOS settings to default, installing the newest version of BIOS.
One thing I still need to check is taking a GPU out and play with one only and hopefully that would give me a solution.

Can you check the voltages from your PC either using a software utility or a multimeter? They may sag under load if there's something wrong with your PSU. If the voltages are fine when you run your stress tests then I would guess it's not the PSU but I'm no pro.

I used to have a similar problems like this. I found out that my fan was no good. Try to find out your computers temperature while playing. Since you have two graphics cards, highly clocked memory and cpu it can get pretty hot in there.

I will buy a meter in the following days to see how much Watts the computer draws from the wall under load when gaming.
I've checked the PSU and it's not hot, my hottest core on the CPU has a max temp of 65 when playing and the top GPU goes all the way to 75.

So in my opinion my temps should be good, OC is stable since I've ran prime95 for a longer time in the past to validate.

I've been using only one GPU for a day now and no shutdowns, so I'm really sad if it's a PSU issue, the thing is like 6 months old and it should be a Seasonic unit under the hood rated 80 Plus gold.

After a few days of running it with one GPU and no shutdowns, I've decided to take everything out of the case and test that it doesn't get too hot inside.

Everything went fine yesterday, I will continue to test it like this in the following days. One thing I can tell is that the system is much quieter than inside the case (CM Storm Stryker)
