I know many of you will say that building is much better than buying. I would agree. However I don't have a lot of money, my dad doesn't want to spend several hundred just to screw it up in the building stage, I am inexperienced, and I don't plan on playing super taxing games. My budget is $500 but i can go over if its really sweet. So, tips on how to prove there is no risk in building my own to my dad or suggestions on a good quality prebuilt for $600 or less. The games I plan to play are: Gmod, Minecraft, CoD: AW, CS, Arma 2/DayZ.

Building is better because you get customization however you like with half the cost of buying one. If i were you I'd get this bundle http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8216885&CatId=11497 and this ram http://pcpartpicker.com/part/team-memory-tpd38g1600c1101 and this drive http://pcpartpicker.com/part/western-digital-internal-hard-drive-wd10eurx and this graphics card http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-04gp42744kr And get a 600-700 watt PSU and you're good!
EDIT: Ooops, almost forgot a case! This one looks pretty badass and will do the job http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-rc912kkn1
