Purchase a second video card and run crossfire or upgrade to a bigger single card?

I currently have a MSI R9 270 video card. I am currently making YouTube videos with cry engine and need more FPS while recording. Would it be a good idea to buy another identical card and run them together (which would be the cheaper alternative) or just ditch it and get a better card, perhaps a 280 or 290.

Thank you in advance!

If your motherboard and psu can support it, go for Crossfire (Keep in mind your case cooling and space between slots). It will give you roughly better performance than the 290 for good value. Other wise 280 is good bet.
