Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 problems with memory and cpu oc

Hello,

today I changed my mb from a MSI z87-g43 gaming to Gigabyte Z97X Gaming 5 and Im having some issues.. I have 8gb of memory installed but only 7,86 usable? I have xmp enabled and both memory sticks are 4gb
With the old board (msi z87-g43) I had 8gb usable.
the same goes for CPU, I have it OC'ed to 4.2ghz but in windows properties it only shows 3.5ghz and again in the old board it showed 4.2ghz

I appreciate any kind of help

first issue is most likely your igpu. Your IGPU uses system RAM for it's video memory which is why you see only 7.8 out of 8 GB usable.

2nd issue, task manager and computer properties are not OC friendly. So they won't display the right clock speeds. Use CPU-Z to make sure it's running at 4.2ghz.
