I'm lost when it comes to hooking up my front usb ports to the yellow f_usb3 header on a Gigabyte GA-MA69GM-S2H board. I've the manual and diagram but don't understand how to connect the little plugs and single wires to the header.
Lil' help?
Thanks

the little plugs, and single wires???
sounds like you mean the POWER, Reset, HDD and POWER activity lights.
USB plugs are keyed (sort of) the pin layout will either allow you to plugin the USB header or not.
Single pins would usually say something like "hdd +" that would be for hard drive activity, and its the positive, youd also have a "hdd -"
most important one to plugin correct is the "power_sw" it would read usually.
page 7, shows "f_panel" which is where those single, and double pins will plugin.
i dont see a layout anywhere, so i hope yours are marked. Theres gotta be a layout somewhere if not
Edit: Page 26 shows the layout of the front panel, if its not marked ON the motherboard.
Just match the plugs from the front of the case to those.
f_usb3 is just the name of the header - not it's format.
I've little wires that are red, white, and green labeled Vcc1, Data1-, Data1+, and a separate ground wire.
However, I think I get it since they kinda match the diagram.
Figured it out and hooked it up.
There was, indeed, tiny little lettering on each wire's plug.
Didn't help that the diagram's wording doesn't match.
I see they just use one big plug these days rather than several wires.
