All games say like they need 2GB VRAM,3GB VRAM. Does it matter that much? I have GTX 780 AMP! edition,it has 3gb vram,if games just want vram, then will 6gb edition give twice performence, then accoding to this does't things like shader, cuda cores, texture rate, pixel rate matter, if they don't mean this why do they write VRAM,please explain

The only way you would need more than 3gb of VRAM would be if you are running multiple monitors, running with high levels of anti aliasing or running a resolution above 1080p at high-ultra settings.

Having 6gb over 3gb will only make a difference in the circumstances I just mentioned. You will not get double the performance.

If you need more than you have then it causes a performance drop as the game will have to retrieve the textures etc from the system ram, or worst case the SSD/HDD.

However, pretty much every game will allow you to reduce texture quality and anti aliasing settings to limit your vram consumption.

if you have more vram than nessesary then you dont get any more performance, so it doesnt work like that.
