As the title says, could you recommend a TV for gaming (all sorts of games ranging from FPS to RPG and Racing).

Even 4K would work for me, I am planning on buying a second GTX 970.
I just need something with minimum input lag, TV doesn't need to be smart.

Price is a bit tricky, something around 500-600 USD (500 EUR) at most.

I found good Samsung and LG TV's for less than that, but the input lag was more than 20-30 ms which might be annoying in fast paced games.

The ideal size of TV is between 36 and 47 inches.

Thank you!

Get a monitor for now and wait this year i read OLED is going to be in force.

LCD TV is bullshit, cannot beat plasma with input lag of 1.5ms (game mode) albeit plasma has slight picture retention but washes away depending on model and how late release it is will vary, if you can still get them.

OLED is suppose to be better of both worlds, LCD and Plasma combined so to speak. Black levels, deep colours, sharpness, no retentions and good ol' almost no input lag.

You'll get close with some LCD LED TVs with game mode but would need to physically test in store on their show room displays to know for sure if your TV hasn't been through any review sites.

Look to Sony, LG, and Sharp IMO. Just look for the one with the lowest response time. Ideally below 4ms.

I'm using a Sony 32" 1080p with 6ms response time, and while the ghosting is noticeable, it really isn't that bad. My brother has 2ms on his Sony and there doesn't seem to be ghosting at all. He paid big for his HDTV though. When he bought it, it was top of the line and cost over $2000. This was 5-7 years ago I believe.

Yeah I heard about Sony, LG and Sharp TV's.
I have a monitor, but it's time to change it.

Wanna hook up my PC to the TV and hang it on the wall.

But thank you for the answers, I will definitely check in the store and watch for a low response time!
