Hello everyone, I was wondering what UPS wattage I should purchase for my desktop, the specifications are as follows:
i5-4690k cpu, msi z87-g41 mobo, r9 280x vapor x video card and a 850 watt thermaltake psu.

Should the PSU wattage match the UPS wattage in order for it to work properly? Thanks in advance guys.

PSUS are rated in W while UPS is rated in VA. A good rule of thumb for conversion is to multiply your system wattage by 1.6 to get VA. So 500W -> 800VA.

Keep in mind that just because you have a 800W psu, it doesn't mean ur system is using 800W. I would estimate you system is using around 400W.
