PS3 controller adapter for PC?

Hey all, i built a gaming pc for my girlfriend but she wants to use a ps3 controller on it instead of a 360 controller since the analog stick positions on the 360 controller hurt her small hands.

So im wondering if there is either a ps3 style controller that works with the PC, or an adapter so she can use her ps3 controller with the pc.

I have a wireless adapter for my PC that lets me use my xbox 360 controller for any game on my PC so i at least know these things exist, i just cant find something like that for a ps3 controller. Any help would be greatly appreciated :).

You need to buy a Bluetooth adapter for the PC. I would also get a Usb extention cable so you don't have to sit the adapter in the back. But ThatVietGuy's link should get you started. There is no easier way to use the wireless ps3 controller. She could get a 3rd party wired controller. Most of those will work if you plug it in the USB port.

What if computer already comes with bluetooth recognition but I run Windows 8 and was unable to use the motioninJoy program to use my PS3 controller... Would I be able to buy a 3rd party item like this:

and it would work? I'm currently using a XBOX One controller but I own a PS3 and have several controllers and would rather return the inferior XBOX One controller because it cannot be run as wireless. Any help would be appreciated because I'm planning on buying that item in the link.

Pogojoe. If for some reason you can't get the onboard to connect you should be able to use USB Bluetooth adapter. I know the one that came with my motherboard works but gets terrible range. Just be sure to disable it in BIOS so it doesn't interfere with the new Bluetooth adapter.

Hey. SteelSeries makes a controller that is very similar to the ps3.. On the bottom it says:

steelseries
3GC
controller
pn:69001

It was inexpensive, works great, compatible with things like xpadder as well..
Dimensions: 8.4 x 6.5 x 3 inches ; 6.4 ounces

ps3 dualshock 3
Dimensions: 6.3 x 2.4 x 3.9 inches; 11.2 ounces
