Hi

Trying to put together a new build PC using my existing SSD & HDDs and optical reader along with the keyboard mouse monitor and speakers.

I am trying to get the build in at near to £800 if possible, any one see any issues with the build proposed or see any where I shave a few quid?

Solution
That will use around 400-500W under full load, so you don't really need an 850W PSU. Have a look at the EVGA SuperNova NEX G2 750W: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-power-supply-220g20750xr

As USAFRet has said, you might be able to drop to 8GB RAM and an i5-4690. If you want an i7, have a look at the Xeon E3's - they're essentially an i7 without the IGP, priced around the cost of an i5, although I've not seen one clocked as high as the 4790K - might be worth a look?

Solution

+1; an i7 and 16GB of RAM will make no difference in gaming compared to an i5 and 8GB of RAM.
