Hello, I'm new to building a pc and I can't figure out what I've done wrong. I installed everything correctly and I was able to install windows 8.1 and it works fine. However, whenever I turn it off and turn it back on it goes directly to the bios instead of loading windows. The only way I can get to windows is if I load it from the disc in bios. I don't know what I've done wrong and I would appreciate any info on what the problem might be.

I'm running on:
Windows 8.1
asus Z97-AR motherboard
Intel i5 3.5 ghz

I'm sorry I'm a complete noob at this. I followed the instructions in the manual and I watched a few youtube videos too. What happens is when I turn on the pc it goes to American Megatrends and it asks me to hit F1. It shows up that my Hard Drive is P1. The only way to load up windows is to go to the boot menu and click on the hard drive to load it up. Everything works fine besides that. Is that what you mean when you say device priority being the first boot?

I think the CMOS battery is dead. Get a new CMOS battery.
