i need to run gta 5 on my budget build gaming pc, i dont have better hardware and i need a better answer. my os is windows 8 btw.

Solution
Since Rockstar's official minimum system requirement lists a quad core CPU it likely means that a CPU capable of processing 4 threads is a requirement. If so then your dual core Pentium G3258 will not be able to run the game. But a dual core Core i3 CPU maybe able to so since it has Hyper Threading which allows each core to process two threads.

not sure what you mean by better answer? your system will run GTA V on low to medium settings(depends on the resolution)

Yea, unfortunately if requirements are true which most likely are, his cpu is only 2 cores/2 threads.

It doesn't matter now, the op had two threads running at the time of creating this and he replied to the other because it's what they wanted to hear. As in yes.

I have the same cpu and an older gtx 650ti gpu. However I do have 8gb of ram.

I get anywhere from 30-60fps running at 1680*1050 on low.
I tried it on 1080p and I get around 30-45fps. Keep in mind the "next gen" consoles can only do 1080p at 30fps.
