Are corsair af120 fans worth it?

Since summer is coming up and I got a new gpu that is making alot of heat ( around 77C ) It used to be 62 in the cold. I was thinking on getting some pc fans and I first thought of purchaing 2 corsair af 120 on my CM elite 430 case since it has poor airflow design and was wondering if the 2 fans would make any difference in temperatures.

Thanks :)

If you are using the CM Elite 430 case fan then adding the AF will make a big change. I had a the same case and that case fan was practically worthless. I removed it and added a CM Blade Master. That helped a lot but kinda noisy. Choosing to add a AF to the front and a second to the rear will help out airflow a lot and keep it quiet. I highly advise adding those fans. Also, you can always migrate them to a new case so those fans can last a long time due to the quality.

Alright thanks alot :) will try to get the fans by this weekend.

I'd look for the 1450rpm ones. Any higher than that and they will be noisy. But 1450rpm is really quiet. You could remove front fan and place it on rear. Then add the AF to the front and a second AF to top rear.

Thats exactly what I was going for hahaha hopefully the airflow is nice. If I do see improvements with this 2 fans I will go ahead and purchase another 2.
Thanks again :)

If you are adding that many fans you might want to consider changing case in the future. I did. I went from your case to the Corsair 300R. Improved the cable mgmt a lot (the CM 430 had no cable mgmt ability) and improved air flow. None the less, that case is decent for a low price.

It says 1500rpm on the box and thats gpu temp. Got my cpu temp and it usually went really high but now its between 30C and 50C idle - load. Im happy so far with this and I have to agree with baddlehorsey they do look cool hahah

Just FYI, depending how you connect those fans you can have them run at whatever speed you like. If you connect it to PSU molex then it'll run at full rpm. However, if you connect it to a mobo fan header you can manually control the speeds. This is what I use for some of my fans. When I want to game I crank up one of my intake fans and cpu cooler fan.

Yea thats one of my main problems haha I got around 7 molex but only 1 fan header aside from the cpu one on the mobo.. Looking forward to upgrading it along with the cpu later this year since I dont wan't my fans running at full the whole time.
