I would like to maximize the performance of this motherboard.

Specifically, the website states that this GA-M68M-S2P motherboard supports "Supports new generation of AMD Phenom™II X6 processors && Supports AMD AM3 Phenom II/ Athlon II processors," but which CPUs are those, and how do I find out?

Also, I would like to find out the same type of information for the GPU, and also RAM, as well.

Thanks a bunch!

The best RAM the system will support is DDR2 1066Mhz.

The fastest CPU the system will support is Phenom 2 X6 1100T although with your board's RAM limits this may not have full advantage taken of it.

As far as Graphics Card is concerned you are using a Motherboard with a PCIe x16 1.0 slot. That means you can run all current cards but anything beyond a GeForce 500 Series may not run at 100% capacity, but perhaps more like 85%-95% of its maximum. As such, you can theoretically run any card on the market but you'll experience a speed drop beyond a certain point. A GeForce 750Ti would be a good, mid-range card to complement the Motherboard and remain equivalent...
