My old motherboard only had a 4 pin cpu slot but this has a 8, my 8 pin connector will fit in my gtx 760 but it wont go into my cpu pin slot, i have two 6+2 pins that combine to make the 8pin, and a single 6 pin alone will fit in there but the +2 wont,

What do i do?

The connector you want is called EPS and is a 4 + 4 pin connector on that power supply. The two 4 pin connectors can be put together to make a single 8 pin EPS connector that will work on the motherboard. This connector is different than the 8 pin PCIE (PCI Express) power connector used by video cards. The PCIE connector will normally be a 6 + 2 pin connector.

For the Zalman power supplies, the connectors that you want are usually labeled P1 and P2.
