Hi Guys,

I'm upgrading to an ASUS HD7970-DC2T-3GD5 on my GA-EX58-UD5 (rev. 1.0) .
My current PSU is a Corsair a HX620W which will be replaced with a Corsair HX1000W I originally bought with the system, but hadn't got around to installing.

I understand the ASUS HD7970-DC2T-3GD5 requires 12V @ 42Amps and the Corsair HX1000W can supply two x 500w for a 12V1 and 12V2 @ 40Apms each. (please check specs in links below if I have confused information).

So, am I in the running to power my GPU successfully? Much thanks for expertise in advance.

A 1000w PSU is only used for GTX Titans SLI or a R9 295X2 SLI.

Your HX 620 will have enough power to supply to the card, but can I see what your CPU is?
