I have an NZXT Switch 810 case and an ASUS P6T Deluxe v2 motherboard.

I recently purchased a USB 3.0 PCI-E expansion card (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00NXTQBOY). It has 2 built-in USB ports at the back and a header for 2 additional ports, which I have connected to the front panel of my case.

The expansion card itself is working and windows detected it and had drivers for it as soon as I installed it, although I ran the drivers cd that came with the card also.

When I plug a USB flash drive into the built-in USB 3.0 ports on the card it works and the drive is detected. When I plug the same drive into the USB 3.0 ports on the front of the case it does not work - the drive is not detected at all (no messages that the device is slow or unrecognised, just nothing).

I notice in the device manager there is a warning icon with the message: 'Unknown USB device (Configuration Descriptor Request Failed)'

This entry is present in the device manager with or without the front panel connected. I also have entries for:

Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller
Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Root Hub

Which are shown as working normally.

I tried searching for drivers on the 'net and the drivers CD for the card after opening up the devices manager entry with the warning and choosing 'update driver' but it says the most recent driver is installed.

As I say, the two built in USB 3.0 ports on the card are working, so I'm not overly concerned, but ideally I should be able to use the ports on the front.

Any ideas?

Thanks, I will try it. I also raised a support request with NZXT so I'll see what they come up with :)
