Removed fresh heatsink for a second/need to apply thermal paste?

As I was building my new computer I put on the stock CPU heatsink, but I removed it seconds after to double check something because I thought I put it on wrong. I did put it on correctly, but I'm not sure if I have to apply thermal paste even if I installed the heatsink seconds before. The paste was still wet, not dry.

If I remove the freshly installed heatsink for a couple second and place it back in the same position, do I have to apply thermal paste?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
yes. take some isopropyl alcohol and a cotton swab or coffee cleaner and clean it off and apply new. the paste is meant to go on once spread around by having the heatsink applied, and putting it back on can spread it to further affecting temps, if you put it back on you just risk spreading the paste even more.

Yes because you will have created air pockets in the paste
