Is 500w 80+ Bronze Evga power supply enough?

I was just wondering if the This power supply would be enough to power an i5 4690k overclocked to 4.2 ghz, and an Evga 970 sc acx 2.0?

Yes that is enough though I would go 550 since you are overclocking.

Yes, but to be honest with nicer parts like those and since you are overclocking, while the EVGA power supplies are nice, I would get a gold rated PSU to ensure better power delivery, like a seasonic 550 80+ gold one like this http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ssr550rm

Trust me I'd love to get a 80+ gold 800 or higher but this is for my buddys computer and he's ballin on a budget, so I was just making sure that this would be enough to run his computer.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182068 Their no reason to get a gold rated power supply but do stay away from the EVGA B1 series their pretty nuch just junk.
Make him spend a few more bucks on the power supply to get a good one if he won't listen slap him upside the head.
