Today i installed 212 evo on my gd65 990fx and 8350 processor, while doing so i had to plug off all attached to mobo and then reatached it,when i first started computer after retaching i saw smoke comming out of hard disk and fastly disabled power supply to stop it,but now when i plug white part of cable which goes from mobo to hard disk (little white cable) everything starts up but when i try to plug (i think its double bigger in lenght and it goes from plug next to processor and into hard disk) my computer doesnt even start but when i plug it off everythings goes perfect (ofc theres no booting but i get this message

Press Esc in 5 seconds to skip startup.nsh, any other key to continue
i have 500 gb hitachi storage which is about 6-7 years old and was working perfectly

after my mobo logo goes i get efi message i wrote and thats about it,please someone give me advices about this since i have about 100 gigs of video editing i was doing

Smoking hard drive = might as well be dead.

I have never heard of a smoking hard drive before. Are you sure nothing else was smoking and you thought it was the HDD?

Can you plug the HDD into another PC to see if it shows up? However if you need that I recommend paying for professional recovery.
