Where to download Windows 8.1 for ASUS ROG G751 Series G751JT-CH71 and which one?

Hi, I got my ASUS ROG G751 Series G751JT-CH71 Gaming Laptop 2 weeks back and the 1 TB 7200 RPM Rotational HDD had bad sectors in it. I have given it for replacement and it was impossible to make recovery disks. I just bought a Corsair Force Series™ LX 512GB SATA 3 6Gb/s SSD and using it as the C Drive.

From what I have researched, I need a Windows 8.1 Core Single Language 64 Bit which I can install using generic keys from Microsoft and then activate it using the Windows Key in the BIOS of the system (I have retrieved the key as well).

I installed Windows 8.1 Pro in the above manner but the key that I have in my ROG did not work. The system said that I cannot use this key for this version of windows.

I have not been able to find an OEM ISO yet.

Can someone please tell me:

    Which version of Window should I be looking for that will accept my key when I try to activate it?
    Where do I download this version of Windows?

Tried the media creation tool. Took an hour to download which was without resume functionality and once it downloaded there was an error, also tried to see where it was downloading the ISO, temp folders, everywhere. Would prefer a torrent or a proper website.

I am actually happy with ASUS. I was in NY 3 weeks back and ordered it from newegg. Opened it last week in Karachi, Pakistan. Was thinking that may have to send it Dubai, UAE to claim warranty, wrote to the local distributor last night, they called first thing in the morning, and they have taken the HDD out and will replace it, once they are satisfied, might take a few weeks. Had no HDD so went and got a SSD yesterday evening, there is no going back, it should be crime buying rotational HDDs, punishable by death :)

Couldnt have made recovery disks, the ASUS guy said I should, but it was so slow and stutter was absurd.

Hello,

I am experiencing similar problem with G751JY.

I have also tried solution with using install media from Microsoft mentioned above and get the same message when entering key during Windows installation.

Can someone please advise where to get Windows 8.1 accepting Asus OEM key?
