Recently I checked on a graphic card comparison site that r9 290 crossfire is just 1% better than the gtx 980...
Is it true????
What do u recommend? ??
I have 1 r9 290 should I crossfire or go for the gtx 980??
If I will go for the crossfire I am having a good budget for psu and I can have an 850 psu in my budget but right now I am having an 600 watt psu which is enough for 980 so dont worry about psu..
Just tell that which one gives better performance and their advantage and disadvantages. ...
Thank u...

We can only recommend you the solution, deciding which road to take is solely your decision. :)

For CF 290s consider buying 850-900 PSU of a good quality likes of XFX, Seasnoic. Don't compromise on the good quality PSU.

Just make sure that you have optimal airflow inside the case.

I agree. And if you're doing a crossfire between two top tier graphics cards, i would even consider a 950W PSU. I think you should do one of two things.

A.) Buy the GTX 980 and sell the 290. According to NVIDIA's website, your current power supply should be able to handle it at stock speeds. Then you shouldn't wind up spending more than 300$ in the end.

or

B.) Buy the other 290 (what is the cost of your current one? Best to crossfire with that and make sure your motherboard supports crossfire) and a new power supply at about 400$. (250$ for the 290 and 150$ for the new PSU).

If you're confident in your selling abilities, I would personally go with option A.

1080p with single monitor or double/triple? I see no reason for SLI/CF at this resolution. Better stick with one GPU and that would 980 here.

If you have only 1 1920x1080 monitor you can just buy a 980, you'll have a room for improvement in the future by adding an additional 980.

If you play on higher resolutions now it is better to have the 290 XFire.

OP has already mentioned that it is a single 1080p monitor.

I bought my r9 290 for around 30-35k = 500-550 dollars and now someone is ready to buy it from me at 20k = around 300-350 dollar should I sell it and add some money and get a 980 is it a good deal????

I want the best performance because I will be not getting much money to upgrade for a long time after this that's why I am going to crossfire my r9 290 or getting the 980..
One last question that is a 850 watt psu enough and will I need any kind of cooling or coolers for the crossfire? ???
