Will connecting the front panel reset pin improperly on the mobo create any problem ?

As this is my first build i have a doubt regarding one of the front panel connector i.e the reset switch for the mobo GA H97-D3H. I have set my reset switch as shown in some of the youtube videos for other mobos as I got confused with the given mobo manual especially for the reset. In the manual the HDDpins are (+ -) and the reset is (- +), i placed the HDD pin properly i.e the HDD pin name is facing away from the mobo and now i have placed the rest pin also in a similar way. The mobo seems to work properly. I want to know whether this is correct and also what happens if it's placed improperly.
P.S does the reset pins act as some sort of shorting ?

Aha, Just found out Reset is a switch unlike HDD LED & Power LED. So reset and power switches pins should not have any problem when placed improperly i.e polarity doesn't matter because their purpose is to short.
