hey guys getting a gaming pc for my birthday. here is my build:

CPU
Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core

Motherboard
MSI B85-G43 GAMING ATX LGA1150

Memory
Kingston Fury Red Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866

Storage
Kingston HyperX 3K 120GB 2.5" SSD

Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM

Video Card
MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V

Case
NZXT S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower

Power Supply
Corsair 600W ATX12V

Operating System
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (OEM) (64-bit)

$1470 TOTAL

Just wondering if 600w power supply is good enough? and also do i really need a cpu cooler? i live in AUS so somedays it will get very hot. Also i dont want an optical drive therefore i chose a case without a optical drive slot(if i really need one i can just an external drive anyways).

BUDGET $1500

Just shaved off some cost while keeping the performance similar.
A better powersupply is added.
A better chipset mobo is added.

Thanks :) also do you think I should buy a cpu cooler? Is it really necessary?
