Excellent connection speed, virtually no internet!

Hello,
Just recently I began having incredibly frustrating problems with my internet connection. I use a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter and my wireless signal strength is always excellent and my connection speed remains at a steady 54 mbps. Just a few days ago, however, my internet browsing slowed to a point where pages take 45 seconds+ to load (just getting to this page was a 5 minute process) and sites like Netflix, once they actually load, refuse to stream video. Other programs for online gaming like Uplay, Battlenet, and Steam can't even connect to their servers. I torrent on occasion, but not recently and I close that program regardless.

AMD Quick Stream is NOT installed on my computer... I so wish that was the problem. I have also scanned my computer many times using Bitdefender, and continue to do so. I can't seem to find any new/recently installed programs on my computer since I have started having this problem. On top of all of that, I need this computer for school work and without properly functioning internet, it's useless. Please help me! I really appreciate your time reading and/or responding to this post.

It's a brand new build that worked flawlessly for two months! Windows 7

Solution
Start with connecting to the modem via a wired connection after a reboot with the router not connected. Run Speedtest and see if you are getting the full speeds or not. If not, contact your ISP as the issue is your modem or your connection, and neither can you fix.

If it works ok, than put the router back in and retest the speeds with Speedtest via a wired connection. Be sure to reboot the router, and upgrade the firmware to the latest.

Than try the wifi connection. See what the speeds are on multiple devices. Make sure the wifi adapter has the latest driver. Delete and reconfigure the network on your PC. If the wifi is slow across multiple devices, swap the router out with a new one.

Run Vistumbler to look for wireless...

Run Vistumbler to look for wireless interference, and if you would be better off on a different wifi channel.

Try a different USB wifi adapter, and see of that gets things more stable. They definitely burn out over time.
