CPU temp & Fan

my cpu (i5 4440) temp ranges between ( 40 : 57 ) while browsing the internet and ranges between (60:75) while gaming . Is that safe ?

Another thing is my CPU fan , it doesn't run with the first boot but when I restart the windows it runs at 600 RPM and my BIOS settings are default , should I get another fan or there's something I should do in the settings ?

did you make sure it's connected properly into the fan header and do you maybe have an opt cpu fan header you could try?

I would get a whole new cooler if your running stock.

i have the exact i5 4460 and on stock heatsink & fan i got 35 on idle and 65 while gaming ( hit 70 degrees on 5 mins prime95) so i bought a cheap deepcool gammaxx 300 and a deepcool z9 thermal paste - and now im getting 30 on idle and 50 on gaming ( hit 56 degrees on 5 mins prime 95)

oh my bad not the exact 4460 (but the 4460 is the haswell refresh of the 4440) - and im sure they are pretty close to each other regarding performance and temps

Well I would try a different fan or a whole new cpu cooler and if the problem is the cpu header you could try using the sys fan header as long as your temps stay cool. I'd go into your bios and try adjusting the cpu fan speed or use windows software to do so.

Clean dust form your cpu fan and then try, if it is not working then you can change of repair your cpu fan through the experts.
