I'm having an issue where physx is only running on my cpu even though i selected my old gt 630 as a dedicated physx card from the nvidia control panel. i know its not using the gpu because i have the physx overlay on and it always says cpu.

Solution
Okay, that's good. Never heard of that one. Of course, Borderlands 2 is a GPU accelerated PhysX game, but Arma 3 uses CPU PhysX only. Hopefully you weren't playing Arma 3 and seeing the PhysX indicator on CPU, because that's all you're going to get with that game.

My main gpu is a gtx 750ti. the 630 is the 630 g3 version (http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-630/specifications) . i believe its fermi. and yes, even on auto physx is processed by the cpu.

So what PhysX games are you trying to play? Maybe you're not playing a PhysX game?

The best thing to do is to start over with a fresh driver installation, and make sure to install the PhysX drivers. But really those 96 CUDA cores are not really going to give you much PhysX boost.

borderlands 2 mostly and arma 3. all drivers are up to date. and I'll be using the 750 once i get a 970. just figured that the 630 would fair better than my cpu.
