I just got a new mouse (a Bazalias X1, I know it's chinese and it's cheap...) and it makes a faint but still somewhat hearable beeping noise when being moved. (sound comes from inside the mouse, not speakers or m-board)

It also seems to make an even fainter sound (kinda like electricity passing through or something...) when standing stil.

Everything else works accordingly. It only makes sound when moving the mouse around.

I tried chaning the usb port but with no luck.

Hi
I am trying to think of any component on a mouse circuit board that could make a noise and came up blank.
All I can think of is that there is a wire wound resistor on the board which is acting like an inductor and you are getting a form of coil whine.
Whatever, I doubt there is anything you can do about it.Though you could try it into a powered USB hub as it may have a slightly different voltage to your computer and this can have an effect on coil whine.

My father has worked with electronics (older stuff but a mouse's components aren't high-tech, at least not this one's) Could it be related in any way to the optical light of the mouse since that along with a sensor triggers the cursor movement, and it's that movement that causes the beeping.

UPDATE: I looked up coil whine and I think this is it. What now ? :s Can it be fixed easily @ home ? I read somewhere that it's a component vibrating due to electric current. Would it be safe to make it not vibrate anymore, provided I don't damage anything.
