I have a nvidia geforce gtx 650 1gb and i was wondering if I was able to buy and use a nvidia geforce gtx 650 2gb as well as the 1gb. Does the amount of gb effect the compatibility.

Thanks

If your talking about running them together no it wont.but it will run the settings from the lowest cardx2.so if you don't care about running the cards together at 1gb each its fine.or get another 2gb 650.so they run at 2gb hope that makes sense

No no no no.

If you gonna SLI the 650 1GB and 650 2GB you have no chance for that to work.
This is because Nvidia released a driver than wont support two cards with different RAM.

I also had a chat with Nvidia once when i was so frustrated because of this since i bought a 2GB card and a 4GB card, since i dident know about this driver.

So if you want to SLI, you will need two cards from the same series and have the same amount of RAM.
