May add a second gpu later. Displaying on 55" 1080p so the single 970 should run most everything maxxed for the most part right? Shouldn't have any bottlenecks for a few years either, right?

Solution
Great built. But 8 GB ram will be more than plenty. Gtx 970 have more than plenty of VCore so you don't need 16 GB ram add the difference will be the same between 8 and 16 GB. Then why you are wasting money to get it, my friend. ...:) and the bottleneck will be
Depend on the PSU. Go for Seasonic 750 w version. This will best for you. ..A faster and more reliable option is a pure SSD (250GB) plus an additional mechanical hard drive.... Get a best hard drive and you are done. ...rest are great. And yes It will great work for more few years. ...

Depends on you PSU, which you did not list. You need a quality 750W unit to be on the safe side.

Right.

Not in graphics / CPU department, no. But you certainly opted for quite strange solution in terms of hard drive. A faster and more reliable option is a pure SSD (250GB) plus an additional mechanical hard drive.

To be fair I used the Seagate hybrid in a build before Xmas - was underwhelmed at first but after a dozen or so reboots its quite a fast number -15 seconds or so for a windows 8.1 boot & very fast in general use.
Its no substitute for a true ssd paired with a separate traditional drive but its still a worthwhile purchase on a budget.

Thanks guys! I think i'll go ahead and add an ssd. running a dual rail xfx black 750w so that should power a second gpu later on. As far as configuration, what do you put on the ssd with the os?
