Hi, I tried wiping my computer using DBAN, which meant that I had to boot from a USB drive. When I went into BIOS to change the boot device priority, it said to the right "a device enclosed in parenthesis has been disabled in the corresponding type menu", and it wouldn't boot from my USB device even when I changed the order. I was having a lot of trouble with that, eventually in the boot menu I found a hard drive option and change the first hard drive that was recognized to the removable device. Then it recognized DBAN and I was able to boot from my USB drive and I wiped my computer (DBAN apparently wipes the hard drive without affecting the operating system). Now when I turn my computer on on it says it can't find any device to boot from, and I can't find the "hard drives" option anymore in the BIOS boot menu, it's not there. When I first turn it on it says it's looking for USB devices, so I'm pretty sure it's because I changed the setting in BIOS but I don't know how to change it back.

If you don't have the USB drive in the computer anymore it should go to the next device in the hard drive boot list which is hopefully your hard drive.

If you don't know how to change your bios settings back to the hard drive as the first boot order there is this excellent reading material called the user manual that tells you all about the different bios settings.

We cant just tell you the exact menu layout because every vendors bios is a little different, even among versoin numbers. If you found the menu to select the usb device as the first hard disk you should be able to find again.

Now with all of that said, you wiped the drive, thus the drive is no longer bootable. You have to use a windows installation disk or usb drive and boot from that.
