Hy guys i have a gigabyte z97-d3h motherboard. My problem is that sometimes i cannot enter bios. This usually happens when i try to overclock my g3258 and it is not stable in windows so i need to add more voltage, but i cannot enter bios. It stucks on a black screen. If i can enter it usually freezes and i can not do anything, can not move mouse or navigate with the keyboard. What can cause this problem? Other hardware issue or i need to have my mobo replaced?

Solution
I've always preferred manual voltage, having more control on what you do ensures a more stable OC.

How are your CPU temps? an improper cooling solution will hinder your OC capability, another factor could be a weak PSU (especially if you have a power-hungry GPU).

Finally, not all CPUs are the same due to the yieldings in the manufacturing process, it could be that simply you got a low binned CPU thus it won't be able to reach the OC others have.

Referring to threads and sites i read that the reached 4.7GHz with 1.35 vcore voltage. Now my cpu is not stable at 4.0GHz at 1.3 volts so i may do something wrong. I you can help me what voltage should I increase? Only vcore or ring, vrin? And which do you think is better? The manual voltage or the offset (forexample +0,2V)
