Router drops internet connection

I have a problem with internet dropouts. My ISP techs have been out several times and say that there is nothing wrong on their end and I believe them.

I can connect to the internet if I connect my laptop directly to the modem. They have told me to disconnect an internet thermostat I have installed which didn't help. They have suggested the ups may be the problem so I removed that. They suggested that the router may be bad so I replaced it (I have tried four different routers). Nothing seems to help.

Connected to the system I have a Linksys EA6500 router, a wireless ipcam and the internet thermostat. When I lose internet connection on wireless
devices (iphones, laptops, ipads etc.) the camera and thermostat remain working so I know I have internet through my modem and the wifi is working. All four routers have this same issue. The camera has a static ip address, is wireless and uses port forwarding. The thermostat has a wired lan connection and a dynamic ip address. Right now I am 100 miles from this location. I can see the ipcam and I can adjust the thermostat but when I try to use the Linksys Smart Wi-Fi app it reports that the "Router is Offline" most of the time. Sometimes it connects.

When I am at the router location and lose the internet on all of the wireless devices, if I swap routers it may work for an hour or so. Then I swap back to the other router and get a connection for a while again. Sometimes even for hours. But I always eventually drop the internet connection on the wireless devices (except for the ipcam with the static ip address).

I have done numerous resets on the modem and router. Set the router back to factory defaults and reconfigured several times. Installed the latest
firmware on the router etc. The modem is an Arris CM820. I am looking for things to try the next time I visit this location. Any ideas? Do you think I should try mac address cloning? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You could try changing the WiFi channel frequency on your WiFi router. Check here to see how: http://www.howtogeek.com/197268/how-to-find-the-best-wi-fi-channel-for-your-router-on-any-operating-system/

If too many devices and other WiFi networks reside on the same channel, it can cause drops and bandwidth issues.

When this happens, wifi is working (ipcam is wireless and continues to work). Just can't get internet on wireless devices i.e. iphones, laptops, ipads etc.
