This has been trouble shooting night mare. needless to say I've been on this for weeks and have finally traced the problem to connecting to my network (Gidlock) via wireless.

I tried to post this before but cannot find the thread, I apologize if there is a duplicate out there.

The Problem:
Windows 7 become unresponsive (freezes) Ctl+Alt+Del does not work. Requires a reset usually after about 5 minutes of connectivity.

Facts:
1.Gridlock is the only wireless network that causes this problem.
2. I have tested the PC with 3 other wireless networks and could not replicate the issue.
3. I have no issues when connecting to gridlock via Ethernet cable.
4. I have no issues with other wireless devices on this network
5. My router is set on "automatic" Channel

PC Specs:
Dell Insperon All in one
Windows 7 Professional
Dell Wireless 1703 802.11b/g/n (2.4GHz)

Any help would be great :)

I've checked and re checked drivers, but i cant replicate the problem on another wireless network.

For now i've purchased a wireless USB card and am using that to connect to the network, 30 hours so far and no lock ups. I cant put my finger on the issue because its only present between the specific network and specific wireless card.

I might just change out the adapter and call it good :S

Sounds like a solid plan to me. You've effectively isolated the problem - your only choice now is to circumvent it (as you have done), or dig deep and try to fix the root cause. I vote for circumventing :)
