Hey guys,

I have an older desktop i want to get back up and running for testing purposes.. It has a wireless card but the antenna is broken, will any replacement or booster from amazon fit and work? Is a generic fitting?

Thanks in advance.

You'll probably be able to find a replacement here: http://amzn.to/1CjTAiC However, you'd probably better off just getting a new Wireless Card. Here is a link to a good PCI-E Wireless Adapter that I can vouch for: http://amzn.to/186GGcG

If you don't have an available PCI-E slot, you can just get the USB adapter for a bit cheaper.

Considering the TP-Link wireless card is plug and play, it should work with any desktop computer that has an available PCI-E slot on the motherboard. I'm currently running one in an older system (Circa 2009) without a hitch.

Wireless technology advances quickly, and you'll likely need the new card to take advantage of the best modern internet speeds. Then again, you should probably consider invensting in something that's a bit more inexpensive if you really don't need this computer for daily use.
