So I bought a brand new WD blue 1Tb, the first time I connected it it worked. Now when I turned of my computer it wont boot. I have noticed when I unplug the WD the PC boots, with it nothing works. I tried to move around the sata cable and nothing. What should I do, I should also comment that im running in "Native IDE". The other drives are relatively old compared to the WD.

Solution
I managed to fix it, its stupid yet simple. We were too technical. All you need is a system restore point in the past. Thanks for the help though.
Hey lurrps. I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing such issues with your new drive. You did well by trying the drive with the different SATA ports, I'd also recommend that you try it with a different computer as well to see if it is detected normally and if the computer experiences the same issue. If you get it to boot and it's recognized I'd recommend to test it with DLG (Data Lifeguard Diagnostic) isolate the problem and see if the drive has any issues or we should look elsewhere: DLG

Hope that helps.

Im the only one with a desktop in the house. How often is that seen with the DLG. Should I configure windows to boot via AHCI. I looked online everywhere an nothing like this problem.

Here are my specs:
CPU: AMD 8320
MOBO: GA-990FX UD3 rev.4
GPU: Gigabyte Gtx 970
PSU: Antec True power series 750W
Ram: RipJaws 8 GB
HDD: 2 seagate drives, decently old along with the rejected WD drive

Yep you could try AHCI mode as well. Have you checked the boot order of your devices in the BIOS? And what exactly do you mean by "How often is that seen with the DLG?" If you have a SATA to USB cable you could try to connect it externally or with external enclosure to see if it's recognized this way so that you could test it with the diagnostic tool. From what I gather, the only OS is on one of the older drives right?

Yes it is. I was thinking about AHCI but I did hear that it could result in a non working boot if it fails. Boot order is good, one thing for me that is sceptical is that when I disable everything except boot and reset and go back in bios the disabled are not there anymore and it shows the drive. Well DLG how often are new drives not working when put in.

You mean how often is a WD drive DOA? I'd say that this is a pretty rare occasion and it depends on a lot of factors, most of which have nothing to do with the brand, such as: retailers, shipping etc. And we still have to determine if the drive is at fault here.
About the AHCI setup, just backup anything important you may have although there shouldn't be any trouble. Here's a link with instructions on how to switch from IDE to AHCI mode: http://www.askvg.com/how-to-change-sata-hard-disk-mode-from-ide-to-ahci-raid-in-bios-after-installing-windows/

Good luck.
