About a year ago I purchased a dell xps 8700 with an Intel Core i7 4770 (3.4 Ghz), a Gtx 645 1 GB (OEM), 16 GB DDr3 RAM, and the psu which is a 460 Watt OEM PSU made by Delta Electronics that has a maximum combined +12V current rating of 32 Amps and has two 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connectors. Realizing the extreme bottleneck of the gtx 645, I upgraded to a 2GB gtx 660 w/ acx cooler. Now that the 960s are out I want to know what the best card for price/performance is that won't require me to upgrade my psu, (I don't want to void my warranty) or if I should wait for another card. Pretty much any card will fit in the case the xps 8700 uses, and the new a10 bios makes all the 900 series cards compatible with the machine. I've heard stories of people being able to run 970s in the machine without changing the power supply but I don't want to push my luck.

Dont worry about GPU sag it happens to most people and if not you can get a add on that can ease the sag I got one from Puget Systems at a event and I and pretty sure it will clear the case.

I have an XPS 8700, bought it last summer. I actually recently put a GTX 970 from PNY into it. Had to do a BIOS update to A10 for it to be supported. No power supply upgrade was needed. The only other thing I did to my computer was change out the 16GB of RAM for 32GB. Soon going to be getting a new hard drive though, cuz my games take up so much space, but now I can play my games at 4k resolution downsampled to my 1080p monitor. League of Legends at 4k and still 120 frames per second is no joke, with everything graphics maxed on it.
