I just entered my college [semester 1] , so they want me to prepare for my FY-Project
I would like to try VPN for my Final Year Project.
*I know what is VPN but HOW to MAKE IT ?
*I mean VPN with INTERNET ACCESS

Do I Need To
- Buy Router that Support VPN ??
- Subscribe VPN service from [ HidemyAss ] ? <-- EXAMPLE

The simplest form of "VPN" you could demonstrate is if you have two windows computers and use remote desktop. The term VPN is a very broad term and narrow at the same time. While technically, a VPN, is ANY network, other than one you directly own, that you TRUST is private. If you are using AT&T as your ISP, you are trusting them not to search through your packets you send along their lines. However, what you (and most everybody else on earth) are directly referring to is a VPN tunnel. A VPN tunnel is used to emulate a direct connection with private lines over a public network (the internet). This is accomplished by making data theoretically impossible for anyone to read except for the other side of the tunnel.

Microsoft Remote Desktop is a great demonstration for a vpn. Comes stock on windows too.
teamviewer also has a great, and free, way to make a VPN tunnel between two computers. Very simple too.
cyberghost vpn has a free version that will do everything you need (VPN with internet access) just download onto your computer, and start it up.

I am not very well versed in setting up VPN's with routers other ones that run cisco ios. so i cannot comment on how easy it will be for you to do that.
