Newly built PC won't boot in Dual Channel, but will boot with a single stick of ram.

Hi, so I finally built my first PC but the problem is, I can't get it to boot while dual channeling ram. It will go into a constant boot/shutdown loop. I have tried both Ram sticks individually and they BOTH work alone. I really don't think this is a problem with the Motherboard (unless I'm reeeaaaaaly unlucky) because I already exchanged my original Mobo due to the fact that I thought it was the problem. So even with a brand spankin new Motherboard, I cannot run in dual channel AT ALL. Please help me, as I spent over $1,400 on this PC I can't let it go to waste :( .... Any idea/pointers?

Specs:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z97X-SLI
Ram: GSkill Ripjaw 2x4Gb
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970
CPU: I5 4690k
PSU: EVGA SuperNova 750 G2

Check the motherboard manual and make sure that you are using the proper slots for your RAM sticks, on most boards the ram sticks don't go in "right next to eachother", but with one empty slot in between.

If this isn't the problem, then try updating BIOS to the newest version with a file from the Gigabyte website. If this doesn't help, try dual channel with a different pair of RAM.

Side note, you see a lot of people on these type of forums troubleshooting with Gigabyte motherboards. I have had two Gigabyte boards fail on me in the past, so it's now a brand I steer clear of. Im saying this so you won't be surprised if they have sent you two faulty boards in a row. If you end up returning this one, pick up an ASUS one instead.

weirdly enough however I have issues with ASUS alot more than others :/ I have had 3 ASUS products die on me in a row within the first week, including a router, a monitor and a motherboard... None the less PC manufactures should have better quality control.
