Bit of a noob question here.
I have a GT730 in my pc at the moment. I didnt think much of it when i was building it but I found it odd that it didnt take up the entire pci-e slot. I cant really find an answer on why it wouldnt be full length but my suspicion is that it doesnt need the extra connections from the lack of a fan. Not really sure though. Can anyone back me up on this?
Also when i was comparing specs between the fan and non-fan GT730, the one without the fan had more more RAM (2gb vs 1gb) and a higher clock speed. I figure a fan would keep it cool better than a stand-alone heatsink but this apparently tells me otherwise. Any idea as to why this is?
