Cant open or delete files in Windows 8

I have some files on my E drive that I cannot delete because it says the directory is invalid or its just not there. I have no clue whats going on but it is extremely annoying and any help is appreciated.

Have you tried to use the cmd running with admin to delete it?, first use the command "E:" or what ever drive the file is located at to set the drive and use the command "cd E:/example/example" and say there is a file named picture.png at E:/example/example. Use "del picture.png". If this will not work use a program called unlocker to remove the file http://www.emptyloop.com/unlocker/
