So I have a laptop which came with Windows 7 preinstalled. I decided to perform a fresh install of Windows 8.1 on it a while ago using a license I legally purchased online. My question is if I decided to perform another fresh install of 8.1 (just to refresh everything if my computer again becomes slow), will my license key work again when I run the windows installation media?
Since my 8.1 license isn't at the BIOS level (at least I don't think it is), I'm worried that wiping the hard drive and reinstalling Windows 8.1 will result in requiring another license key. Can anyone confirm?
