Issue with mouse - left click button

Recently my mouse has been acting up. It's an old World of Warcraft steelseries mouse. Basically the issue is that the left click button does not register on my computer all the times. Every 10-30 seconds for about 3-5 seconds, the left click does not work. Right clicking, moving and all the other side buttons work fine. Just the left clicking. After those 3-5 seconds they work again.

I've uninstalled and re-installed drivers but nothing. I checked device manager and I noticed that there is a listing for 2 HID-compliant mice. I deleted both and re-installed but still no problems. Both appeared again (even though I have only one mouse). I deleted one and it actually seems to help out a little but over time it just craps out again. Anyone know what the issues might be?

Being that the left button is the most used button on any mouse, have you considered that it could be a hardware issue? Maybe time to either tear into it and inspect for damage, or pony up for a new mouse.

One thing I will say is that the small momentary surface mount "buttons" will some times loose their click, and the internals get soft. If you do take it apart, try pushing that button by itself with none of the mouse casing in the way. See if the sound or feedback of it feels different than the right mouse button. Just a thought.
