External HDD ( reallocated sector count) what can i do?

i have reallocated sector count (current 1 worst 1) in my external HDD. can i some how cut the bad sectors or partition the drive (get lower space) . i don't care about the information in the drive so i format it but their is a raw disk i can't format . any ideas?

Hi there ghost 19934,

This means that the HDD is in poor condition. It can fail completely at any time.
Also, there is no way to stop the degrading process. You can't isolate the bad sectors as well. You could try to write zeros to the drive with some third party tool. This may slow down the process a bit.

Thank you for your answer I was hoping that I could repair it, but it's ok I will use it until it fails. Thanks again for the information
