i asked the geforce fourms and havent gotten anything yet so im asking here too...

Okay so when im playing games and my temps arent getting too high the card will downclock itself from my Overclocked 1516mhz to 539.8mhz. The TDP never went over 60 % and the tempature never went over 45*C... not sure what im doing wrong. i have the only driver from the evga site. not sure what to do though

As long as your ingame performance is ok, this is perfectly normal.
When the gpu doesnt need to be at 'full power' the card automatically downclocks to save the planet etc.
These Maxwells are amazingly power efficient.
If you really really really want to test it.....
Go to Nvidia control panel/Manage 3d Settings
Click on the Global Settings tab.
Change power management to 'Prefer Max Performance' from Adaptive.

Run same game, your clocks will stay high and use more electricity :)
Once your happy, change those settings back.

Don't use the drivers from the EVGA website. Go directly to the Nvidia site for the latest drivers.

We would need to know what games you're seeing this on, your GPU usage, and FPS. It's pretty clear you likely have a CPU bottleneck and/or are playing on-line games.

My card is a G1 Gaming. I am using 347.52. I'm testing my OC stability with furmark, but no matter what my clock speed is, it will always drop after 20-25 minutes down to 539mhz. Temps are around 65-70c under full load.

CPU is a 4790K so I'd hope its not that!
