Hello folks out there,
I've just set up my computer (after applying Thermal paste once, the CPU cores went up to 90°C under full load, so I reseated the Heatsink and Fans and reapplied Thermal Paste with the pea method and those are the new temperatures I get), and I'm wondering if the results there are actually good enough, I'm just doubting myself because I've seen a chart showing the Phanteks PH-TCP14 Cooler with a Core i7 4790k at 55-60°C at maximum load, so I'm not sure whether it has to do with my ambient room temperature, the lack of airflow, etc, that brought my results a little far from the ones I've originally conceived.

CPU: Core i7 4790k (4.0GhZ Stock)
CPU Cooler: Phanteks PH-TCP14
Thermal Paste: Arctic Silver MX-4

Those are the temperatures for the cores using Prime95 Stress for 2 hours and Real Temp:
25-29°C ~ Idle
30-34°C ~ Under use
45-52°C ~ Under load (Gaming)
63-69°C ~ Maximum load (Prime 95)

Ambient Room temperature: 29°C
Computer case: Cooler Master Storm Stryker with all fans working.
GPU: Asus STRIX GTX 970

What do you think? Is it fine? Should I do anything else? Adjust the Heatsink again?
I'm pretty content with those temperatures since I do not think my CPU will ever run at Maximum Load unless I use 3D modeling software or anything that will stress it for the matter.

I'm only asking for your advice as I'm not new into computers, but I'm not perfectly at ease with the knowledge of the safest range in CPU temperatures.

Those temps are typical with air coolers at 29 degs C. Obviously you are subjected to uncontrolled factors such as ambient temperature when on air, more so than with liquid. Also, summer historically was never a good time for me to OC, because of the high ambient temps. Then again, I had no AC. LOL.

But seriously, if you don't get any BSODS or lock-ups, you're fine.

Those are fine temperatures. Some chips have better thermals than others and ambient temperatures have a huge effect. 29C is warm ambient temperature. Normally a room is warm if it is 22C. That is probably where the temp increase is coming from

Alright, thank you all for your answers, I was only worrying a bit considering I just finished building it, hopefully nothing will happen in the future and I will keep this computer for a few years with minor upgrades.
