Opinions/Feedback on possible gaming PC build?

First time building, having a friend help out with the actual process but I'm needing to buy the components. I've been going through a few sites to get an idea of what sort of components I required for a brand new gaming PC, and I've come up with this list on UK Part Picker:

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/khMYhM
(This excludes monitor, keyboard etc.)

Unsure whether or not these components would be compatible, since I'm unsure about UK Part Picker picking up on it. Anything I could do better with these components? What about overclocking, not worth attempting with these specifications?

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I'd say the system is fairly unbalanced for a gaming PC. The most important part you want to spend money on is the graphics card, and yours is an entry level GPU. For a new build, especially at your budget level, I'd be looking more at a gtx970 than a 760, and I'd cut a few corners on your system in order to achieve that goal, assuming you don't want to simply up the budget and add the 970.

I'd drop to a 550W PSU unless you are planning on SLI in the future, in which case the 750W would be a great choice with lots of headroom. That's one spot you can save some money.

Another option could be to downgrade to 8gb of ram, as that is all that is needed for today's games. You can easily upgrade in the future if you find you need more.

I'd even go so far as to say drop the SSD in order to afford the GTX970. Some would disagree, but here's my thinking. SSDs are great for reducing load times, but they don't really help with FPS unless you are working from an older, slower HDD, which you are not. I'd prefer to have higher FPS (higher end GPU) over having faster load times (SSD).

Some food for thought anyways.

Thanks for the help, I've decided on using bignastyid's choice of CPU cooler, along with jimthenagual's choice of Video card to save on a little bit of money sacrificing the 0.05Ghz Core Clock speed. The 1000W PSU was a bit overkill I must admit, and I didn't exactly know on the standard of video cards at this moment so I appreciate the help on bringing up to speed. I'll be looking into purchasing very soon.
