Hello, I have a 60GB SSD that until recently was dedicated to Boosting a 2TB Storage HDD. The 2TB Croaked, I'm in the process of acquiring another one but, i think I'm not gonna boost this next drive (Don't have much to store and hardly access it) and since i already have my OS and some of my Biggest and Baddest games in a 128GB SSD i wanted to repurpose the 60Gb SSD to install some more games in it that could benefit from that drive's speed. either way i cant seem to get it right. not sure if its done in bios, or in the Intel Rapid Storage Tech Program. i noticed that theres some sort of Raid control that can be accessed on the Boot sequence i think its (Ctrl + I) or something like that. I'm trying not to touch that since my knowledge of what that might do is very limited. would very much appreciate some help with this little big project of mine.

Solution
If you just want to clear it for game installs, all you should need is Disk Management. Format it, then assign it a letter, and you should be good.

Start > Right click on My Computer > Manage > Disk Management

I had tried this but... the drive didn't show in the list, but i got it finally... it was marked as (spare) in the Intel Rapid Storage Program. it needed to be marked as (Available). thanks a bunch.

Thanks for the Tip.
changed the setting in bios. was set up for Raid.
to be honest i googled what AHCI is but, i'm still unsure exacly what would the difference be thou. is it faster this way since im not boosting a HDD with a SSD anymore?

Legacy IDE is for older drives, and it is slower. Theoretically, RAID and AHCI are the same speeds - the difference being that RAID sets up multiple drives into a single array (making 2 or more drives into a single drive), where AHCI does not perform that function.
