Hi, I reinstalled my Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, and after about 15 to 20 days it gives me the "BOOTMGR is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" message when i try to turn on the PC. Now I have 2 hard discs and when I get this message I disconnect the drives from the motherboard and connect them to different ports (or whatever they are called) on the motherboard and the OS boots normally after that, but after 15 - 20 days I get that message again. I tried repairing boot problems with the Windows 7 disc, but it didn't work. Please help.

how old is the mobo? I'm suspecting a dying bios battery (and hence the settings get lost).
So, have a look in bios and see which is the boot drive, note it down, wait until it is playing up again, check to see what the bios thinks the boot drive is now. if it has changed then the bios battery is probably on it's last legs and needs replacing, it's probably a CR2032 and readily available, but worth having a look.

I bought this motherboard about 2 months ago, so I don't think the battery is dying. If it means anything, the motherboard is ASUS M5A78L-M.
