Best drivers for Radeon HD 6000 series

I have a Radeon HD 6850, non overclocked, with factory settings. It's a great GPU (my first dedicated GPU, bought in 2012). My main problem with it are the drivers. Some drivers fix things and at the same time break others that were fine in the first place. One example of this are the most recente Catalyst 14.12 Omega drivers. With these Max Payne 3 crashed when trying to get to the menu screen, in Doom 3 (non BFG edition) the bodies stayed in a sort of glitchy way when gibbed before disappearing, and in Team Fortress 2 the shadows were completly glitched out.
So my question is: what are the best drivers for this line of GPUs, the 6000 series, particularly the 6850? I heard people recommend the 13.12, but I don't know.
Any answer is appreciated!
BTW, my OS is Windows 8.1 Pro x64

The problem is that people probably don't know the best drivers any more than you do. It is probably something unique to your combination
of games and card. I haven't had any issues with 13.12 with my previous 6670 and I don't have any issues with my new 7850.
But then again I have never played those games.

I know it is slow and tedious but you probably have to download a bunch of drivers and experiment

I don't know if I made myself clear. I AM using the latest drivers, but they are giving me nothing but trouble. What I'm asking is what are the best drivers, old or new, for my range of GPU, since the new ones seem to fuck up most games for me.

what drivers do you have the omega drivers?

That's a shame. I thought an experienced member of the community in this area would have some advice regarding the subject.

download DDU driver uninstaller and uninstall the drivers and download them again

Already did that 3 times, formated the OS, still the same problems. I always use DDU to install new drivers.

your GPU might be wearing out

Ok, after some trial and error, the best drivers for me are the 14.4. The 14.9 had the same troubles as the 14.12, and the 14.4 works flawelessly (the only thing I don't like is the driver stopped working errors when running flash player websites). Thank you all for your responses.
